The Independent Publishers’ Distribution Alternatives (IPD Alternatives) is a partnership of 10 small/medium publishers and publisher-distributors based in Delhi. The partners are: Daanish Books, LeftWord Books, Samskriti, Social Science Press,The Book Review Literary Trust, The Little Magazine, Three Essays Collective, Tulika Books, Women unlimited/Kali for Women, Zubaan/Kali for Women. The IPD Alternatives comprises professionals in the field of publishing who understand the publishing industry, and bring to the partnership their respective strenghths. Between them, they represent the best in contemporary Indian publishing, with lists ranging from academic books in the social sciences and humanities to political tracts, gender studies, general interest non fiction, fiction, children’s books, literary and book review magazine/journals.
